Every retailer sells a different time-of-use deal, and the variables never line up — how long the peak window runs, when you can export and at what rate, what each tariff actually costs, how the daily charge compares. You can spend a weekend on it and still not be sure you chose well.
And choosing is only the start. Whichever plan you land on, you’re left to run it yourself — through your battery maker’s app, or whatever home-automation setup you can piece together. It quietly becomes another job, and the day you forget is the day you buy at peak or watch the export window pass you by.
Most retailers bolted an app onto a billing system built years ago. We started from the other end. Fig was built natively around an AI agent — Figgy — whose only job is to make the energy assets you already own work harder for you, automatically, every day.
You bought solar and a battery to take control of your power and your bills. You shouldn’t have to become an energy trader to feel the benefit. Figgy turns those assets into a daily return — and turns the complexity into a single tap.
Here’s about a month of live results — April to May 2026 — from four real Victorian battery homes, showing the credits Figgy earned them.

Live results from four Victorian battery homes, April–May 2026 (about one month). Participation credit is the Boost and Surge credit for taking part; export credit is what each battery earned exporting at premium times; total credit combines the two. Everyday off-peak savings come on top. Results vary with battery size, usage and market conditions.
Figgy tells you which kind of day tomorrow is — and exactly what your battery should do. The bigger the opportunity, the more you earn.
Special credit + earnings
This is where your battery really pays for itself. A bigger bill credit, plus a premium export credit for the power you send back when it’s worth the most.
Standard credit
Grid conditions are worth acting on. Accept Figgy’s strategy and a bill credit is locked in for the day — on top of your everyday savings.
Super off-peak charging
Figgy automatically charges your battery for up to 5 hours at our super-low off-peak rate — just 6¢/kWh — so you’ve got cheap, stored power ready when you need it. No credit to claim; you’ll simply see it on your bill.
Figgy works around the clock so you don't have to. Every night, Figgy reads real-time market conditions, weather forecasts, your network tariff and your usage patterns — then sends one personalised strategy straight to your app.
You choose: accept with a single tap, or switch on Auto-Accept and let Figgy run everything in the background.
Two simple notifications a day. That's the whole job.
Each evening
Figgy sends tomorrow's plan — the day type, what your battery will do, and the credit or earnings on offer. Tap once to accept, or leave Auto-Accept on and it's already handled.

Deliberately generous, and based entirely on your own home — so a normal day never goes over.
1
Figgy forecasts your usage for the day from your recent habits — your last 30 days of use.
2
It’s set at the greater of that forecast and how much your battery can shift in a day — and never below what you normally use. Bigger homes and heavier days simply get a bigger cap.
3
Stay under your cap and you keep the full credit. Go over and only the amount over is charged — at your usual peak rate of 34¢/kWh, never a penalty.

Everyone else makes you shop for rates and run your own battery. Fig does the opposite.
Compare peak windows, export rates and daily charges across every provider — and still never be sure you chose right.
Run it all yourself through your battery app or home automation. Forget once and you’re buying at peak.
Your bill rides the market. One heatwave or cold snap and you wear the bill shock.
All that work just to maybe shave a few cents per kWh.
Nothing to compare. Your buy rates are locked, whatever the market does.
Figgy manages your battery automatically, every day. Tap accept, or set Auto-Accept and forget it.
Every Boost or Surge Day starts from your smart baseline — the bill a sensible battery owner would have paid that day — and your credits come off from there.
An instant 50¢–$2+ credit the moment you accept — personalised to your last 30 days of usage.
Figgy AI is the AI service at the heart of your plan. Each day it analyses wholesale electricity prices, weather forecasts and your usage patterns, then sends a simple recommended strategy — or manages your battery automatically if Auto-Accept is on. It integrates with selected compatible battery and inverter systems.
Almost. For up to your first seven days, Figgy learns your home — your solar, your battery and when you actually use power. We hold off on Boost and Surge Days until that first learning cycle is complete. To keep you earning from day one, we credit you 50¢ every day while Figgy learns. After that, Boost and Surge Days switch on, and Figgy keeps learning as your habits change through the seasons.
$19.90 a month pays for real AI — not a set of if-then rules or a fixed workflow, but a genuine AI agent working for your home. Every evening Figgy forecasts the market, the weather and your usage, then builds a strategy personalised to you. That takes real computing power, your data held in world-class secure cloud services, and leading AI models running behind the scenes. It costs us real money to run safely and intelligently, and the subscription is what lets us do that properly — rather than cutting corners with a cheaper, dumber system.
Openly, in three ways. First, the $19.90 Figgy subscription. Second, a small margin on the electricity you buy at your fixed rates — the same way any retailer does. Third, when Figgy manages your battery on a Boost or Surge day, that action is genuinely valuable to the grid: Fig earns from providing it, keeps part, and passes a slice straight back to you as your credit. That third part is the important difference. A traditional retailer earns more when you use more, so its interests quietly pull against yours; a wholesale plan passes the market price through but leaves you carrying the risk. Fig earns most on exactly the days you earn too — so we only do well when your battery does well for you.
This plan doesn’t offer a manual export rate. If you export your battery yourself, you receive $0/kWh for it. Export credits are only realised when Figgy manages your battery for you — that’s how we capture the premium value and pass it back to you.
Flow Days are everyday optimisation — Figgy quietly saves you money, no credit to claim. Boost Days add a standard bill credit when conditions are worth acting on. Surge Days are the big ones: a larger credit plus export earnings during the peak window. Figgy tells you which kind of day tomorrow is in your evening preview.
It’s the bill a sensible battery owner would have paid on that day. Every Boost or Surge Day is built from your smart baseline, and your participation, smart charge and export credits come off it. It’s how we keep the day’s settlement fair and easy to follow.
A battery gets you the most value — it's what earns credits and export earnings on Boost and Surge Days. Solar-only customers can still benefit from our fixed buy rates and from Figgy's guidance on when to run appliances.
All battery brands are supported. Not sure about yours? Just ask and we'll be happy to check.
Battery warranties are written around a cycle limit — most cover between 6,000 and 8,000 full cycles. Even a heavy two cycles a day adds up to about 7,300 cycles over ten years (365 × 2 × 10), which sits comfortably inside that range — and Figgy is designed never to exceed your battery’s healthy limits. We keep a sensible reserve and avoid deep cycling. Just as importantly, Figgy doesn’t cycle your battery every day the way many VPPs do; it only manages it on the Boost and Surge days you accept, so in practice it adds far fewer cycles than that worst case. Prefer us to tread even more lightly? You can set a more conservative profile any time.
No. You can leave anytime with no exit fees. We keep customers by being good — not by trapping them.
Three things can credit your account. The participation credit is your instant reward for accepting — 50¢ on a Boost Day, $2 on a Surge Day, applied the moment you tap accept. The savings credit is the value Figgy actually created by managing your battery that day, and it’s usually the largest. The export credit is a premium rate paid for the power your battery exports during a high-value window when you’ve stayed under your cap — biggest on Surge Days.
Your usage limit (your cap) is the daily grid-import limit for a Boost day, and it’s deliberately generous. Figgy forecasts your usage for the day from your recent habits, then sets your cap at the greater of that forecast and how much your battery can shift in a day. Because it’s set at — or above — your normal usage, a normal day won’t go over; bigger homes and heavier days simply get a bigger cap.
Anything above your limit that day is your excess load, charged at the standard peak rate of 34¢/kWh — the normal rate, never a penalty. Figgy’s estimate is built to cover a typical day, so going over usually means an unusually heavy one (visitors, aircon flat out).
Your usage limit and your usage are both meter figures. If you do go over, only the part your home actually used is charged — any part that was Figgy charging your battery from the grid is left out, so you’re never charged extra for a top-up you didn’t control.
Yes — when you stay under your cap. On top of the participation credit, the power your battery exports earns a premium export credit — a rate Figgy captures when your power is worth most to the grid, and shows you in every notification. The 50¢/$2 participation credit is the floor, not the ceiling.
Because by accepting, you give Figgy permission to manage your battery for the full day, midnight to midnight. That certainty has value to the grid, so we pass it straight back as an upfront participation credit — before Figgy has even started.
Start with your energy charge (the power you used at your fixed plan rates), subtract your participation, savings and export credits, then add any excess charge if you went over your limit. What’s left is your estimated amount payable for the day.
No — your morning summary is an early estimate from battery and meter data so you can see roughly where you landed. Your distributor’s metering confirms the final figures, which appear on your actual bill.
